How Much Does Lip Filler Cost? Price per Syringe and Half Syringe

Our research found no single confirmed national price for lip filler. The reference points that are on the record: Allergan says Juvéderm treatment can range from $600 to $1,400 depending on the product and provider, and ASPS reports a $743 average fee for lip augmentation with filler — a fee its member plastic surgeons reported, not a med spa price. This guide explains what a syringe is, how half-syringe and brand pricing work, and what drives the price up or down.

How much is 1 syringe of lip filler?

Allergan says Juvéderm treatment can range from $600 to $1,400.

Pricing varies by the products chosen and by the provider, and the company's site did not date the figure or define it as a per-syringe price when we read it in October 2026.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) reports average costs of $715 for hyaluronic acid fillers, $901 for non-hyaluronic acid fillers such as Radiesse, Sculptra and Bellafill, and $743 for lip augmentation with dermal filler.

These are average fees reported by ASPS member plastic surgeons — not med spa prices — and the page does not state the data year or whether a fee covers one syringe or a whole procedure.

Consumer-reported averages we could not confirm: RealSelf's cost pages were not readable by our research on October 16, 2026 (the requests were blocked), so this guide quotes no RealSelf figures.

What the price buys is gel measured in milliliters, supplied in sealed syringes.

Syringe size is set per product: Revanesse's Versa, Versa+ and Lips+ are approved in both 1.0 mL and 1.2 mL syringes, so "one syringe" does not hold the same volume across brands.

Volume per treatment varies too.

Cleveland Clinic says providers insert about 1 mL of filler into the lips on average.

In the Restylane Kysse trial, the median volume was 0.90 mL in the upper lip and 0.80 mL in the lower lip, and the Kysse label caps the lips at 3 mL per treatment (6 mL per patient when the perioral area is included).

Duration matters when you judge the price.

Allergan says Juvéderm Volbella XC and Ultra XC results in the lips can last up to 1 year with optimal treatment — the maker's own figure — so a syringe is a recurring purchase rather than a one-time one.

Half syringe vs full syringe price

A "half syringe" is a clinic pricing practice, not a labeled product size: filler products are supplied in whole syringes of set volumes, and an office that quotes half is pricing part of one its own way.

Because no label sets a half-syringe price, we could not confirm a typical figure — the only reliable number is the one an office quotes you directly.

The comparison is not always apples to apples on volume, either.

Syringe sizes differ by product — Revanesse's products are approved in 1.0 mL and 1.2 mL syringes — so two offices quoting "a full syringe" may be describing different amounts of gel.

Ask which product and which size each quote assumes.

1.0 or 1.2 mLApproved syringe sizes for Revanesse Versa, Versa+ and Lips+FDA approval records (Prollenium)

For scale, the published volume references are the ones above: Cleveland Clinic's average of about 1 mL per lip treatment, and the Restylane Kysse trial medians of 0.90 mL in the upper lip and 0.80 mL in the lower lip.

Whether a smaller amount suits your case is a question for the licensed provider you consult, not something a price list can answer.

Make quotes comparable

Ask every office the same questions: which product, what syringe size, and what the price covers. A lower number that means less gel is not a discount — it is a different quote.

Price by brand: Juvéderm, Restylane Kysse, RHA and Versa

Per-syringe prices by brand are the one thing our research could not confirm: we found no published price for Restylane Kysse, the RHA collection or the Revanesse products that we could verify.

The brand figure that is on the record is Allergan's: $600 to $1,400 for Juvéderm treatment, varying by product and provider, per the company's site as read in October 2026.

What we can confirm is what each brand is approved for, because that is part of what a quote pays for.

In the Juvéderm line, Ultra XC has been approved for the lips since 2015 and Volbella XC since 2016.

Restylane Kysse was approved for lip augmentation in 2020.

Among Teoxane's RHA products, only RHA 3 carries a lip indication, approved in 2023.

Revanesse Versa is the comparison trap.

Versa is commonly used in the lips, but its approval covers only moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds such as nasolabial folds — using it in the lips is off-label, meaning it is not on any current US label for that product.

The lip-approved Prollenium product is Revanesse Lips+, approved in 2020 for lip augmentation in patients 22 or older.

Label status does not set the price, but it tells you what to ask: which product is in the syringe, and is that product approved for lips?

FDA advises treating filler injection as a medical procedure and choosing a licensed health care provider with dermatology or plastic-surgery experience who is trained in filler injection.

Why lip filler prices vary by city and injector

ASPS names the drivers of dermal filler cost: the injector's expertise and qualifications, the type of procedure, the time and effort required, and the geographic location of the office.

Any of them can differ from one office to the next.

Location is one reason not to expect the national figures above to match your quotes exactly: they are averages across ASPS members' reported fees and one maker's stated range, not prices set for any city.

City-level prices are a local market fact, and the offices themselves are the source for them.

Expertise is the driver worth weighing against price.

FDA says filler injection should be considered a medical procedure, not a cosmetic treatment, and advises a licensed health care provider with dermatology or plastic-surgery experience who is trained in filler injection.

How much of that training sits behind a given quote is one of the things an office can tell you when you ask who will inject.

Are cheap lip filler deals safe?

FDA's warnings are not about price — they are about products, devices and injectors.

We could not confirm any FDA or industry threshold at which a discount becomes unsafe, so the useful test is what FDA's guidance already tells you to check: which product, and who is injecting it.

The product warnings are specific.

FDA warns that unapproved versions of Juvéderm — Ultra 2, 3 and 4 — have been sold in the US, including online, and should not be used.

The agency also says needle-free devices such as "hyaluron pens" are not approved for injecting dermal fillers, that no filler is approved for over-the-counter use, and that people should not inject themselves or buy filler online.

Some price promotions are public and dated, and those are a different category.

Allergan's Allē program gives 100 points = $10 toward qualifying treatments including Juvéderm, and Galderma's ASPIRE program — which covers Restylane, Sculptra and other Galderma products — advertises a $20-off welcome reward, 100 points = $10 in savings and up to 600 points per visit.

Allergan has also run an annual Juvéderm Day: the 2026 event, held August 19, 2026, offered Allē members a buy-one-get-one $75 Juvéderm gift card while supplies lasted, plus double Allē points on up to two syringes of Juvéderm from August 19 to 31, 2026.

Those were that event's terms, and no future event's terms are promised here.

If a deal's price sits far below the published reference points in this guide, the questions worth asking are the ones above: which product is in the syringe, and is the injector a licensed health care provider trained in filler injection?

FDA tells injectors to know the signs of intravascular injection and to keep an up-to-date plan for treating it, on site or by immediate referral.

The risk the training is for

FDA calls unintentional injection into a blood vessel the most concerning filler risk: rare, but it can cause tissue death, vision problems including blindness, and stroke, and the damage may be permanent. FDA says to seek immediate medical attention for unusual pain, vision changes, white, gray or blue skin near the injection site, or any signs of stroke.

How to find lip filler prices near you

Local prices come from local offices: the national figures in this guide are reference points, and the number that matters is what an office near you quotes for the product you would actually receive.

If you have not settled on the treatment itself, the lip filler guide covers what it is, which products are approved for lips, and how to choose an injector.

When you contact offices, make each quote answer the same questions: which product; what syringe size; whether the price covers the full treatment; and who will inject — FDA's advice is a licensed health care provider trained in filler injection.

Budget past the first syringe: the maker's own lip duration claim is "up to 1 year" for Juvéderm Volbella XC and Ultra XC, ASPS says health insurance does not cover dermal fillers, and ASPS notes many plastic surgeons offer patient financing plans.

  • Which product is in the syringe, and is it approved for lips?
  • What syringe size does the quote assume — 1.0 mL, 1.2 mL, another?
  • Does the quote cover the whole treatment, or one syringe?
  • Who injects, and are they a licensed provider trained in filler injection?
  • What do rewards, promotions or financing change about the total you pay?

Frequently asked questions

How much is half a syringe of lip filler?

We could not confirm a typical half-syringe price, because a half syringe is a clinic pricing practice rather than a labeled product size — each office prices it its own way.

For scale, Cleveland Clinic puts the average lip treatment at about 1 mL of filler, and the Restylane Kysse trial medians were 0.90 mL in the upper lip and 0.80 mL in the lower lip.

Ask each office you compare how its half syringe is priced against a full one.

How much does Juvéderm for lips cost?

Allergan's consumer site says Juvéderm treatment can range from $600 to $1,400.

Pricing varies by the products chosen and the provider; the range is not defined as a per-syringe price and was undated when we read it in October 2026.

ASPS separately reports a $743 average fee for lip augmentation with dermal filler, based on fees its member plastic surgeons reported — not a med spa price.

No per-product Juvéderm price list is confirmed in our research.

How many syringes of lip filler do you need?

Our research found no standard: no label, professional-body or peer-reviewed source we checked sets a standard number of syringes per treatment area.

The confirmed reference points are averages and trial figures — Cleveland Clinic says about 1 mL goes into the lips on average, the Restylane Kysse trial medians were 0.90 mL (upper lip) and 0.80 mL (lower lip), and the Kysse label caps the lips at 3 mL per treatment.

The provider who examines you determines the amount in your case.

Are cheap lip filler deals safe?

FDA's warnings concern products, devices and injectors rather than prices.

The agency warns that unapproved versions of Juvéderm (Ultra 2, 3 and 4) have been sold in the US, including online, and should not be used; that needle-free "hyaluron pens" are not approved for injecting filler; and that people should not self-inject or buy filler online.

We could not confirm any price threshold that separates a safe deal from an unsafe one, so ask which product is used and who will inject it.

Does insurance cover lip filler?

No. ASPS says health insurance does not cover dermal fillers, so lip filler is an out-of-pocket cost.

ASPS notes that many plastic surgeons offer patient financing plans.

The makers also run rewards programs on their own terms: Allergan's Allē gives 100 points = $10 toward qualifying treatments including Juvéderm, and Galderma's ASPIRE advertises a $20-off welcome reward with 100 points = $10 in savings.
