What these numbers can't tell you

  • Counts are Google Maps listings we classify as med spas, so they include dermatology and plastic surgery practices that offer med spa treatments and exclude spas without a Google listing.
  • A treatment counts when the spa's Google listing or website names it, so a spa with an outdated menu can be over- or under-counted.
  • Prices are published prices on med spa websites: we keep each spa's lowest posted price, which often is an introductory or member price, so the typical bill is higher.
  • Ratings and review themes are Google's, as shown on each listing on the snapshot date; Google filters some reviews and does not publish how.
  • This is a single snapshot, so it shows where providers are today, not how fast the market is growing.
  • Per-capita rates use Census Bureau Vintage 2024 population estimates (July 1, 2024).
