These numbers come from outside sources, not our directory; each one links to its source below.

• KFF (Oct–Nov 2025): 56% of adults who had used GLP-1s said the drugs were difficult to afford (about 1 in 4 'very difficult'), and 27% said they had insurance but paid the full cost themselves. [1]
• Gallup (2026 survey, n=5,065): among current GLP-1 weight-loss users, 66% use a brand-name product such as Ozempic or Wegovy, 18% use a compounded or 'custom-mixed' version, and 13% are unsure which they use. [2]
• Among 288 randomly sampled Cleveland Clinic patients who stopped semaglutide or tirzepatide for obesity within the first year (2022–2024), 47.6% stopped because of cost or insurance, 14.6% because of side effects, 11.8% because of shortages, 2.4% to switch to a compounded drug, and 1.7% for unsatisfactory weight loss (Gasoyan et al., Obesity 2025). What these numbers can't tell you

• Counts are Google Maps listings we classify as med spas, so they include dermatology and plastic surgery practices that offer med spa treatments and exclude spas without a Google listing.
• A treatment counts when the spa's Google listing or website names it, so a spa with an outdated menu can be over- or under-counted.
• Prices are published prices on med spa websites: we keep each spa's lowest posted price, which often is an introductory or member price, so the typical bill is higher.
